After few requests I am sharing with you my process for all of the Rocks that I sculpted during most of my experiences. Some peoples were asking me what brushes and how I do my modeling ,so here we are. Hope you will find theses useful and that it will help you in future process ! Let’s look at the Brush StarterKit:
Theses are the brushes that I use the most, you can find the TrimSmoothBorderinto your Zbrush library
With all the techniques showed here you should be able to sculpt a rock very quickly. This one took me an hour to complete without the micro details pass
If you watched the video you noticed that I do some retopology thanks to the Zremesher, why ? It usually happen when I am going to far in my creativity. I am doing too many changes from the original imported shape or I deform too much the Zbrush sphere, and because of that I get stretched polygons and Uv’s To correct it : The simply lazy way is to to a projection with the Projection brush or Projection tool from the Hirez to the original re-imported in a new subdtool The best way : Usually I duplicate, do a Zremesher in low rez, Uv it again, Subdivide with CTRL+D, and project. Ctrl+D again and project, as many time as necessary. In that way I avoid all of the bad deformed Uv’s and Stretched polygons.
Iam glad if all of this tutorial is helpful and I am happy if I’ve been able to help you by sharing my Zbrush pipeline Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more !
